• Young Enterprise Launch Pad Challenge

  Our amazing Year 10 Business students took on the Young Enterprise Launch Pad challenge this week. Students put their creativity and team work skills to the test to run a small business for the morning. They applied their business knowledge of budgeting, profitability, sources of finance, marketing and recruitment to produce an effective elevator pitch for their chosen business. Pupils worked amazingly well and demonstrated fantastic employability skills such as communication, teamwork, resilience, problem solving and bravery to stand up in front of their peers to deliver their pitch.

  

• LTA Tennis Leadership Award

  Pershore pupils developed their leadership skills at the LTA Youth Leadership Day held at Pershore Tennis Club. Throughout the day, pupils attended a number of masterclass sessions designed to improve their confidence and leadership skills in tennis. All pupils who attended the day thoroughly enjoyed the experience whilst gaining a leadership qualification.

  

• Oriel College Visit

  A group of our top performing English students spent the day at Oriel College Oxford to get a taster of university life. Aspirations were raised as students heard more about the courses available at Oxbridge and other universities. They took part in a ‘History of English’ session, doing themselves and the school proud.

  Senior students represented us all alongside other young people from local schools at the annual wreath laying ceremony at Pershore Abbey this week.  Please wear your poppy with pride and support the excellent work of The Royal British Legion.

  It was great to see students so engaged in our Careers Fair today.  We had a great range of employers, Apprenticeship Providers, Colleges and Universities today.  Thank you to all the contributors and well done to our students who were so well engaged in finding out about their future opportunities.

  

• Sixth Form Open Evening

  We warmly invite you to Pershore Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday, 17th November at 6.00p.m.

   

  There will be an opportunity to speak to subject staff and more importantly our current students. We are excited at the prospect of your son or daughter starting at Pershore Sixth Form and hope that this evening will provide you with a flavour of life at our Sixth Form.
