Enrichment

Here at Pershore we recognise in sixth form the importance of preparing our young people for life. Therefore, all our students benefit from the enrichment programme, which caters for both Years 12 and 13, offering a very wide choice.  Currently this includes:

  • Extended Project Qualification (equivalent to 50% of an A Level)
  • Politics AS Level
  • Arts Award
  • Spanish
  • Engineering Education Scheme
  • Formula One (F1) Challenge
  • Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold
  • Recreational Sport
  • Survival (Culinary Skills)
  • Community Service
  • Classroom Support
  • First Aid
  • MOOC (Online course)

All Sixth Form students are required to choose an Elective, which will usually occupy about 1 hour a week. Many of these result in a formal qualification or award. Students are also invited to create their own Elective activity. A booklet with details of all the options will be available in March.

In addition to the above, there are a number of initiatives, activities and trips in which Sixth Form students are regularly involved. These include: Debating Society, Sport, Student Support (counselling and mentoring of younger students), Christmas Party for Pensioners, Teddy Bears’ Picnic for First Schools, Charity fundraising, New York Trip, Ski Trip.
