Key Stage Four Careers

Our KS4 Careers programme is taught as part of Society and Ethics. The Year 10 programme centres around the Year 10 Work Experience programme. This sees all Year 10 students undertake a week of carefully chosen work experience (NB postponed through the pandemic). The students learn about Health and Safety, professionalism and getting the most out of their experience.

In Year 11 the lessons concentrate on Futures and enterprise, looking at post-16 pathways. Students also take part in the Year 11 Futures programme. This includes a visit to an HE fair, speakers and a carousel of visits by local employers. Students sign up to the talks that are interesting to them.

Throughout Years 10 and 11 students are able to access individual careers advice from Mrs Beeton  on request, and develop their own careers plan.
