The aims of our special educational needs and disability policy and practice are to make reasonable adjustments for those with a disability by ensuring access to the curriculum and broader school environment for all. We seek to ensure that children and young people with SEND engage in the activities of the school alongside all other pupils. We strive to reduce barriers to progress by embedding the principles of inclusion and by responding to the areas of need – communication and interaction; cognition and learning; social emotional and mental health, and sensory/physical. We will work closely with parents/carers, the Local Authority and all other outside agencies to meet the needs of all vulnerable learners.
