A very warm welcome from our Senior Team

The Senior Team is comprised of Hannah Huntley and Logan Kempson, supported by Annabel King and Phoebe Dudley. The student leadership team meets regularly to discuss sixth form events, improvements and to represent the student voice to ensure that the sixth form remains a positive, welcoming environment where all students can thrive.

Hannah Huntley (Head Student)

Subjects: French, Biology, Chemistry

Hi I’m Hannah and I am head student for this year. After sixth form I am hoping to go to university to study Chemistry (with French), and then go into a job in chemistry research, specifically drug development.

Outside of the classroom, I love being a part of the school productions (I was Morticia in Addams Family last year) and just getting involved in the different things the school has to offer. I am also a Champion kickboxer and so love exercise and sport activities. On the weekends I work as a barista and cashier at a local independent coffee shop.

I feel very lucky to be able to represent the school as part of head team, and I believe we can bring great things to sixth form here.

Logan Kempson  (Head Student)

Subjects: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science
 

Hi I’m Logan and I am your head student for this year. Following completing my A-Levels I am looking to study Aerospace engineering at University, before progressing to a career in Space Technology.

Outside of the sixth from I spend some of my time as a member of the local RAF Air Cadet Squadron. My passion here has seen me  nominated for a national award. I also take part in a model rocketry hobby time to time with me building and launching rockets to nearly 1000ft.

I feel very privileged to be appointed to the role of head student and I aim to bring lots of new ideas to the sixth form in order to make it the best place for everyone.

Annabel King (Deputy Head Student)

Subjects: Biology. Chemistry, Psychology

Hi, I’m Annabel, and I’m thrilled to be deputy head student this year. In the future, I’d like to go to university and study Biosciences or Medical Research. I’ve got many different ideas for what career I might want in the future; such as being a  forensic scientist, a surgeon, a biomedical scientist, a pathologist, a dermatologist, or a pharmacist - just to name a few.

I’m delighted to be part of the head team, and I can’t wait to help plan future events for the sixth form and to make our  experience here as enjoyable and memorable as possible!

Phoebe Dudley (Deputy Head Student)

Subjects: English Lit/Lang, Religious Studies, Geography

Hello! I’m Phoebe, and after Yr13 I want to study Policing with West Mercia.

The things I love to do the most are definitely reading and watching films/theatre plays, as well as meeting up with my friends to go out together and keeping up to date with F1. Within school, I was part of the make-up team for the School Production in Yr12, and I did English Language Classroom Support as an elective – alongside working towards my Gold DofE. On Saturdays, I’m a barista at a café.

The Sixth Form senior Team duties and responsibilities:

• Promotion of the sixth form at other institutions and with lower school.
• Working with the Head of Sixth Form to evaluate and develop the sixth form pastoral and careers programme
• Organising and raising funds for The Teenage Cancer Trust (the nominated charity for this year.)
• Mentoring lower school students.
• Arrange student social events, such as winter ball.
• Represent the sixth form at Governing Body meetings.
• Representing the student voice by meeting with the Head of Sixth Form to discuss ways to improve the sixth form.
• Support the Y11 induction programme
• Prepare and deliver assemblies and write pieces for the newsletter.
• Represent the sixth form on the school council
