Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Pershore High School

Welcome to our website.  We are delighted to introduce the school and hope that our website gives you a good idea of what Pershore High School stands for and how the work that we do supports the growth and development of the young people in our care.

Our strapline ‘Proud of our history, confident in our future’ reflects the school’s position at the heart of the community of Pershore.  The school opened in 1932 and has a proud history but we continue to develop to ensure that we offer a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to all our students preparing them for life as adults in the 21st Century.

Our vision and values document is the core of what we do and includes values that underpin our work:

Highest Levels of Achievement

We expect each person to always give their best, building on success and learning from mistakes. We challenge everyone to set aspirational goals and provide support to achieve them.

Highest Levels of Well-being and Involvement

We promote an inclusive, safe and secure environment; celebrating diversity. We work together with mutual respect and kindness. All are encouraged to participate fully in every aspect of school life; equality of opportunity is at the heart of everything we do.

Highly Effective Preparations for the Future

We develop life-long learners with confidence, independence and resilience, through individual guidance and access to a wide variety of opportunities.

Highly Effective Family and Community Engagement

We are proud of our school and its role within the community. We value the relationship with parents, staff, governors and other friends of the school, encouraging everyone to make a positive contribution.

We expect the highest standards from our students and encourage them to take a full and active part in the school and its wider community.  We encourage all students to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities and through these develop interests and talents that they carry with them into the future.

We welcome visitors  and they often comment on the calm and purposeful atmosphere that pervades our school.  Please contact us if you would like further information.
